This vintage 1980s, "New York Girl" (NYG) Coat is a pea coat styled jacket, wool blend, with a 2 front button, notched and collared v-neck, black with white flecks which was ever so popular at the time. Sewn in tags state "size 12, union made in USA, New York Girl, dry clean only". 2 side pockets in the front, the green easy-care full acetate lining is intact, but may need to be hemmed up a little in the back as it may have stretched a bit. Removable shoulder pads are attached underneath the lining, a silver chain coat hook is sewn inside at the top for hanging up. Good, used vintage condition, with no rips, stains, or fading. Gently worn back in the 1980s, then dry-cleaned and stored. It is a ladies size 12, which could easily fit a size 7/8 through 11/12 (Medium to Large), depending upon how snug you like to wear your clothes. Purchased for $150.00 at a high end dept. store on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Stored in a cool dry place. Comes from a smoke-free/pet-free home. Some important measurements when laying flat: 23" pit to pit ; 32" top to bottom; 22-1/2" long sleeve from shoulder seam; 18" shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
