Asian Tea Tin Lamp Neutral Shade Vtg Chinese Tea Caddy Lamp Gold + Red on Black. This is a vintage (not a reproduction or imitation that they are selling today) red and metallic gold on black. This Oriental Canister Table Lamp is unique in the fact that the base is an Oriental tin canister, approx. 6" square X 10-1/2" tall. 2 different Asian scenes on each of the 4 sides show: 2 geisha girls in kimonos with fans under a persimmon tree by folding screen; and a small boy bringing a bowl with chopsticks to an emperor under the cherry blossoms. Square lamp sits atop a black square stepped, beveled wooden base, approx. 8" wide X 8" deep. The look is finished with an autumn tone beige/ecru linen shade, approx. 12" square X 11" high, and a brass finial. Top of shade has 4 brass bars in the middle to keep the shade taut and in place. Tiny metallic gold and brown thread adorns the lamp shade. A brass knob screws onto the finial to keep the shade tight and not loose as well. Lamp with shade on, measures: 26" tall from top of shade to base bottom. This lamp comes from a family estate. No dings, scratches, gouges or staining. Never used, stored in a cool, dry place. Comes from a smoke free/pet free home.
